Dooars-Wild heaven of North Bengal

Situated on the foothills of Himalayas the Dooars boasts of a number of National Park,Reserve and Wild life sancturaies.

The home of famous one horned Rhinos, elephants, leopards,Indian gaurs and various species of birds, flora and fauna is bound to get your wild side going! The forests have their own mystifying power here and just grips you in its dense woods which extends far and wide through Himalayan foothills edging the borders with Bhutan. Some of the destinations I have been lucky to visit are Gorumara, Murti,Jaldapara,Jyanti, Buxa Tiger Reserve, Chapramari, Chilapata nd various small pockets like Dhupjhora, Shikiajhora and  the idyllic retreat places are numerous like Samsing, Suntaleykhola,Todey-Tangta, Bindu,Payren!
A few higher in altitude you get the famous spots of Lava,Loleygaon, Rishop...all these idyllic places have wooed travelers, wanderers, holidayers for years.
Recent political turmoil in the hills have taken its toll and all these places are deserted and projects a sorry state of affairs!
As an avid traveler and tour-operator I would hope peace returns and people get to see these wonderful creations of nature still pristine and serene to  quintessential to heal us and shrug off all the drudgery of our urban life....
